Kenule Beeson Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic held it's 30th 2018 convocation, on 1st December 2018 at it's arena of which the Deputy Governor of the state Ipalibo Banigo was in attendance representing his excellency, Governor Nyewom Wike.
At the event, the deputy Governor, stated that she has heard the cries of the school and of the students also as the request therefore made, for the "Polytechnic to be upgraded to a University level"
Dr. Georgewill Moses, The rector of the school thanked the Governor with great humility for his great support towards the school's requests, the buildings, etc.
He also made it clear that the school fully "endorses" the return of " His excellency Chief Barrister E. Nyesom Wike for second tenure, come 2019".
Also, the rector chants the graduants to be good ambassadors of the school, for which they would be a great proof that truly Kenpoly is really a great educational centre as claimed.
Moving on, the rector in his speech also praised the Governor for always coming to his aid whenever he requested for help.
"When I started my administration as the rector of this institution, I met some lapses,
They are:
- Inadequate Infrastructure
- Exam Malpractice
- Over population of students. Ratio of students and lefturers 5:2
- Inadequate funds
--Poor Host community
- Poor Communication system
- Security Challenges
And the Governor answered to my prayers by fully funding the school's unfinished projects, bringing in the Anti Cultism squad, I thank him so greatly."

" We are making the school international. It is an ongoing plan. We've liased with some institutions in The UK and USA. We will make the Polytechnic the best educational centre of its kind
